I ordered the smooth brown belt. It seems to be a well made belt. However, I am puzzled by the numerous reviews that mention these as being soft, supple belts. Mine is very stiff and fairly thick, to the point it is almost uncomfortable to wear, so for that reason I am in the process of returning it. It is unfortunate, because I like the looks of the belt.
First off, the belt has a white backing to it. This shows when wearing it. Secondly, Belts.com charges a 20% restocking fee and I had to pay for shipping. As a result, I received a little over half my money back. Make sure you love this belt before you buy it because if you don’t you will lose money.
I”ve got 3 of these…different colors. Very soft…great leather…nice looking, and have lasted the test of time. MY only caveat…Ordered the lizard brown and they sent me Alligator brown, and I had to pay to send the wrong one back…shame on Belts.com!
I love this belt! The coloring is consistent throughout the belt and it is a "thicker" material than most of what I own already – making it more durable and less likely to crack and break at the bend point. True to size, fast shipping – I am very happy with my purchase (great price, too!).
I’ve worn this belt almost every day for two and a half years in a hot climate. Some reviewers say it is soft, which it is; others say it is thick and stiff, which it is. But I am a large man and this belt has really held up well, preserving its looks. It took about a week to wear in,similar to a new pair of leather shoes, but then it is comfortable. In the past few weeks it has started to separate, so I will buy a new one, and this will become work belt. By the way, mine was black on black, but not reversible.
Very nice belt. Matte black finish, soft reverse side (but still slick enough to thread through the loops, and a brass colored buckle. Dress-pant size width. I wear it with my suits and dress pants, and it looks great.
Looks good but it is really cheap material..the buckle looks really cheap and it is no where close to what it is shown in picture…I tried returning it but it is going to cost me ~ $6 for returns.. i just feel like throwing it in hudson river…..
The belt is as described in the product description. It is well made and craftsmanship is good. I had an issue with the color of the belt that I had recd. and Mark in their customer service department, exchanged it for me with a return label, without any hassles. He even sent me a pic of the exchange that he was sending , to give me an idea if that was the right color that I wanted.
Thanks, to this company, my husband is pleased with his new belt, as his old one is wearing out.
Sized correctly, ie, a 36 is a 36, not a 37 as some belt makers/pants makers do to make you feel like you’ve lost a few.
The Adam Italian Calfskin belt finish scratches too easily and after two months is wearing off where I clip my cell phone. My 3 year old leather belt (purchased from Joseph Banks for about the same $) still does not show any wear to the finish.
