I got this dashiki in both black purple and black blue colors. The fabric is very heavy cotton more heavy than normal for dashikis, but I imagine this would give added durability, but makes it a little less good for extremely hot weather outside, but perhaps better for moderate to cold times. The size is larger than typical for dashikis. What I did to make it more the typical size was to machine wash and dry them on hot settings. The colors look amazing. Really the colors were why I got these ones. Since purple and black are my favorite colors I’ll probably get another of that one. For a lighter fabric dashiki that would be great for summer heat check out the tie-dye ones.
A bit big but I think I can shrink it a little. The colors look more orange than red. But it is still a beautiful shirt and still glad that I purchased it. Looking forward to wearing it.

This is very large, but that is how these things fit. I can wear it with pants, or as a beach coverup. Very ’60s-ish! I like the material. It is a little heavier than some I’ve seen. I ordered some in different colors.
Great fit and made in Thailand. I wore these in Thailand while in the Air Force in the mid 70’s.
This has a relaxed fit to it, it is big enough.
it looks nice and comfortable to wear. but the size is way big and I usually wear Large (US)
