Vest was as described in that it was a bright or dark red but it worked fine for the Roaring 20s bonspiel. Would have liked a pocket, though, to put my fake cigar in. I take a medium to large tee-shirt and even though I ordered a large vest it was tight so you might want to order up a size.

So I bought this for my son for Halloween. Every year my son always wants to dress up as something that can’t be easily bought at stores. So I have to go online searching for the parts to his costume. Last year 2013 he wanted to dress up as a member of a barbershop quartet. I purchased this vest (men’s small) hoping it would fit him. Thankfully it did! 🙂 He’s an average 12 year old. The vest didn’t look cheap at all. He wore it over a white long sleeved button down shirt, red bow tie and black slacks. We even got lucky and found a nice skimmer hat at a Halloween costume store. I didn’t know that’s what those hats were called. Anyways, it definitely completed the costume.

Now for what I didn’t like. When we first got the vest, I didn’t wash it. I guess I should have, but I’m kind of glad I didn’t because I would have probably damaged it. The red dye on the stripes did end up staining his white shirt by the end of the day. Fortunately some bleach took the stains out of his white shirt. I haven’t wanted to wash the vest since I am thinking it will probably come out pink, at least the white stripes will. So yeah, if you don’t mind not washing it, or washing it and risking damaging it then you’re ok. I think I’ll wash it and let you all know what happens to it. 🙂

Very flimsy material. It was too wide and too short. I ended up having to safety pin it in the back.

This is thin and not a quality garment BUT it will help creating the ambiance! We wore them with US Toy Black Derby Hat and Rubie’s Costume Co Stackable Foam Sailr Pk18 Costume to portray Carnival Barkers in a local fair booth. We also got this tablecloth Red & White Stripes Tablecover Party Accessory (1 count) (1/Pkg) and used it as the backdrop of our booth.

Returned this thing immediately. It was exceptionally wide, very short, the color was faded like it had been weathered like a flag. Please lower an expectation you may already have before your purchase this. The return process through Amazon was very simple and for that I was thankful.

Super fast delivery. Price was reflected in material quality.Poor fit –too short & bias on openings poorly sewn.
Most upsetting was the FADED Red. Looked as though it had been washed out n Clorox.Would not use for
any true RED, WHITE & Blue costume.

Cheaply made and red is pretty faded ordered an XL as I am usually a large it was so tight I couldn’t even button it. Must be made in children’s sizes couldn’t even wear to costume party

Package says X-Large, tag says Medium. Red color is very washed out. Poor quality item.

Love it because I’m a barber the vest look good on me
