I guess the quality is good (I don’t know much about ties.. I needed it for a costume), but the color was WAY off. It’s not the vibrant yellow gold/navy here, which is what I needed. It’s a dull navy (only visible in light–it mostly appears black), and the stripes are gold. Like the gold on the crayon gold. More of a dull color than a bright one.
I owned a similar tie before and was disappointed that this one did not match the photograph. The tie I received has more of a dull brass stripe than a gold. If you expect more of a bold gold contrast with the navy, you may not find it in this tie. If you want a more subdued look than the photo, then this one should work.
The bright gold color appeared to be yellow, but when I received this tie it is a dark dull gold.
The picture of this tie is exactly what I wanted… I received a black and the dullest gold you could ever imagine. Not ‘hip traditional’ at all. The photographer got me to bite. Tie Bar won’t get another dime.
