I wore this tie to church this morning and it was very well received! That’s not what I’m after exactly though – I just want to be nicely dressed and to look good. It’s a beautful tie and the “reversible” feature makes it even more attractive and unusual. I tied it exactly as it’s shown here in the picture, but with a few twists and turns here and there in the tying process, you can change it up with any number of combinations. It only requires a little experimentation.
I must say, before now I’ve avoided “reversible” ties because they always came across as a sort of “train-wreck” to me. Typically the different colors and prints rarely seem to work well together, but that’s not the case with this tie. The green is bright without being over-the-top and it goes nicely with the blue. Here’s a tie that will certainly help spruce-up your wardrobe without costing you an arm and a leg. The TieBar shipped quickly as always.
So I wanted to LOVE this bowtie (as a Seahawks fan) due to the perfect match of bright colors and mixed design. When it arrived, I had to double check to ensure they sent the right bowtie. (They did). The quality is great. The colors are much brighter on my computer screen because that green is less neon, and more bright green… also unless the light hits it just right, they do not stand out as thoroughly against the blue background on the paisley side. Also, I made the mistake of not knowing to make the bowtie look like the picture takes ingenuity and high quality bow tying skills. I was able to make it work, mostly… I feel like there is a chance that everyone who sees the picture knows that special tying is required, so I didn’t knock a point for that (though it was misleading to me) but I hated that the colors didn’t match. The bowtie is however well made and so to me, it was OK. It mostly served my purpose, but no one understood the intended purpose due to the colors not being bright and contrasting like the picture.
I just recently received my bow tie in the mail and I can say this is one of the nicest if not the nicest bow ties in my possession. The material is amazing and the reversible feature is an amazing asset: one side for cooler days and nightwear, the other for summer days and daywear. I recommend getting a majority of your bow ties from TheTieBar (prices are basically the same for the website and amazon). Highly recommend especially since Spring is coming in!
This is an attractive tie and my brother got several compliments on it. It is pretty high quality, but I nonetheless did see a small amount of fraying. It might have just been a loose string, but it is something to look out for.
Standard self tie with a fun design. this is my first self tie and it was very easy to figure out and get looking good. The different colors make it really stand out and wearable.
I bought this for my husband. It was a Christmas present and I’m so glad i bought it. With this bowtie being reversible there is a winter side and a summer side for him to wear it all year round. Beautiful material and well made.
