The left side of mine kept popping out of place, so I did have to superglue it, but it held and I haven’t had to fix it other than just the first time. They fit my face well and do a good job of blocking light from the sides.

Perfect glacier goggles by far. the more expensive units are NOT as well designed as these. Hardly any light gets through! I am very happy with my purchase’s. I have also found out that these don’t break as the $$$$$$$$ ones so. I spent nearly 500.00 on others and these are the best yet.

wonderful as long as they last- the leather sides keeps out the peripheral light far better than most sunglasses. But the plastic is weak and they break easily.

At the price I didn’t have high hopes for these. They were basically for my son who keeps loosing the expensive glasses I get him while camping. I know and my eye doctor has told me, on numerous occasions, that eye protection (both from the Sun and from branches or other pokey things) is a must. Even when overcast glasses are a must. Since these have a cord, side protection and polarized lenses they meet 3 of 4 of my eye protection criteria. (In case you want to know they barely made it with the side protection but only goggles do that and the fourth is polycarbonate lenses.) They work very well for outdoors and have the added bonus of having not been lost yet. Style wise they lack a bit but when you are 10 miles from the nearest mirror, being able to see yourself later is better then looking cool now. At least that is what I try to tell my son.

I added these to my cart because I’ve been looking for this style of sunglass without having to spend a grip. I ran across them while doing some of my Christmas shopping on Amazon, added them to my cart and checked out without reading any reviews (after the total amount in my cart another $10-$11 didn’t seem like it would matter much). After I checked out, I clicked the link to these and started reading some of the reviews. I know it was kind of a backwards way of online shopping, but… again for the price.. oh well.. worst comes to worst, like one of the other reviews said, I’ll give it away to one of my nephews. They arrived today (fast shipping btw), and when I opened the box, the first pleasant surprise was that they are not small like one (or two?) reviews said.. at least for me. They fit my head just fine and they’re not any smaller than other adult size sunglasses I see at stores. As far as the quality, for the money I think they’re well worth it. We used to get the same style back in the ’80’s pretty cheap and they would always break in the middle if the leather patches would fall off first. That’s because those cheap ones back in the 80’s were made of more brittle hard plastic whereas these are made of more soft & pliable plastic. The lenses are nice and dark, the patches on the sides are also well secured to the frame. All in all, I feel that these are well worth the price, functional and not half bad looking. If something were to happen to the ones I got, I’d have no problem ordering another pair.

I basically chose these just for the kick of "nostalgia" since I grew up during the 80’s when glaciers were a popular trend, however these fit comfortably more than my current "dollar store" sunglasses I normally wear and do a great job of blocking the sun when out and about, not to mention them also being a nifty conversation piece as I’ve had several individuals ask me about them or give me a 2nd glance. Anyhow, the only downside I think was the elastic/rope neck holder, I removed it as I felt was kinda in the way. Also be careful if you drive in these as they can hinder your peripheral vision due to the side blockers. Other than that I love them and will be ordering a 2nd pair for backups as the price is not bad at all!

purchased for adult head, but not big enough for my medium / large nappa, tried on rest of family with an assortment of head sizes and were either very uncomfortable of just did not fit any head size, so returning these. Appart from the fit issue, they didn’t give an impression that they were particularly durable and looked like the side leather sections would soon fall off.

I’m very happy with this purchase. He loves them.
