Product is fine and as pictured but I was shipped 21 stays. I read reviews of people complaining they were short and figured it was a limited problem (I mean these things are less than a penny a piece to produce it is all in the marketing and packaging.) I got 2.25" (ZERO pcs, 6 short), 2.5" (8 pcs), 2.75" (9 pcs, 1 long) & 3" (4 pcs). The worst part is I ordered these because I needed more SHORT ones (I have bought two boxes at Kohl’s and lost all the short one’s thru time) I have plenty of LONG as they don’t fit most of my shirts.

The Good – None we’re bent and all were in good condition (some people complained about bent.) The box they are shipped in is rugged plastic with a corrugate sleeve and more than sufficient. The product seems fine (thick and appear rugged,a little wider than the Kohl’s one, the color is less appealing flat steal vs. a copper color but who cares, the tip is MUCH more taper which may be a good thing. Arrived in two days with ‘standard’ shipping (KY to IL).

Basically I’m miffed because I paid $11 for 8 stays with shipping and handling. Kohl’s rips you off (like $18) but at least you get exactly what you pay for.

Why can’t they pack the right number (this can’t be cost cutting???) Are people manually counting these out and just overworked and underpaid?

The order arrived in record time. I think the turn around on this one was the fastest I have ever experienced in the 15 years I have used Amazon. The clear plastic box holds the stays and there are enough of each size to fit my needs. I guess I had assumed, from the picture, that the box was sectioned to hold the stays, but it is not, so the stays get easily mixed up. Though that is not the reason I could only give 4 stars. Upon opening the box for the first time, I found two stays (different sizes) were bent to the point of not being useable. The cost on these compared to shipping makes it not worth returning and I still have 24 useable stays. Given that design of the clear box, I am sure the bending happened during shipping. As for the stays themselves, they are as advertised. Metal stays in multiple sizes, and they work as intended.

Very thick. I had some Chaps brass collar stays that have gone MIA over the years. Chaps is an OK brand, not the best, but OK. They are Ralph Lauren’s low end. These stays compare poorly to them. These are easily twice as thick and heavier. Thinner and lighter is better and easier on your shirts. Thicker stays are visible in some shirts. Not that anyone sees it, but they are a discolored gray. I wouldn’t buy them again

I like these collar stays, mostly because they are metal and should last a bit longer. I don’t really know if they will or not, as they are softer than I expected and are prone to bending out of shape. A little heat treatment would go a long way.

For the price, the quality is about what should be expected. The only thing, aside from the soft metal, that I would change is the sharp edges. Mine even had a couple burs, and it is obvious that they are just stamped out of a sheet. It could be worse, I suppose. Knocking the edges off took care of that.

Aside from the two minor issues (the reason for 4 stars instead of 5), I really like these stays. The box comes with 4 different sizes, which is nice since not all shirts have the same size collar, but I wish it would have come with more of the size I use. Again, though, for the price, they are a pretty decent deal.

This package of metal collar stays is super convenient. Having four different sizes means that I won’t have to worry about if I have the right size for whatever shirt I decided to wear that day. It’s definitely less expensive than getting multiple sets of differing sizes.

The metal for the stays is pretty thin and I did notice that they bent a little bit with one of my shirts during the day, but it didn’t affect the appearance of the collar and it was easy to press it flat again after I had removed them from the shirt.

I don’t think you can really go wrong with these given the convenience factor and the affordability.

If there’s one thing I like as much as no-iron shirts, it would be having the right size metal collar stay for all my shirts!

I put these stays in when I hang up my clothes, so I don’t need to think about it when I’m getting ready in the morning. I’ve bought enough metal stays for all my shirts and just keep them in. The most common size I use is 2.5", so I also bought a 24-pack of just 2.5" stays to go along with this one. The other 3 sizes in this set cover the edge cases of tiny and large collars.

The stays are also magnetizable (although not magnetic on their own) so they work great with little round neodymium magnets if you need to tame your floppy collars into submission.

These stays work as promised, but as other reviewers noted, my package did include a surprising number of bent stays. These are certainly not "premium metal" but instead are a rather soft, easily bendable alloy. They appear stainless, and are finished adequately, with no burrs or sharp edges, but the metal is just not rigid or springy enough, and quality control on catching bent stays is pretty lax. I would probably not recommend these…spend a few bucks more and get a different brand, and perhaps more of your stays will be usable.

I was on my last two metal collar stays because I had forgotten to take a few pairs out before taking my shirts into the cleaners, so I jumped on here to find someone who sold them. That’s when I came across these. The set is very nice, and actually exceeded my expectations. There’s not too much to be said about collar stays, but if you are using the traditional plastic ones, you should really try these. The metal ones last forever (provided you don’t lose them), and I think they make your collar much more crisp.

Nice and stiff, they do not bend easily, which is good. I bought a package of very small (very strong) magnets to put inside the collar to keep my collar from "flapping out". So now they stand up straight like a shirt with collar stay buttons. I would recommend this. These alone keep the collar sharp, but don’t make the collar stand up without starch. The magnets allow mme to be lazy and not starch my shirts. (ain’t nobody got time for that)

Great little set, especially for the price – compare it with similar products from other vendors/sites, and these are a steal

Because they are metal, they’ll probably be a little heavy for lighter-weight fabrics worn with the collar open. I’m going to grab a dozen tiny neodymium magnets from the big auction website, and make my own version of the Wurkin Stiffs Powerstays.

Because there are quite a few of each size, I’ll be able to mess around with bending them slightly to add a little custom touch to my collars, instead oh having them just straight up-and-down.

Worse comes to worst – especially with the longest ones (that don’t really fit any of my collars) they’ll make nifty little letter openers!
