I took some measurements to determine how much one of these shirts might shrink after washing.
Back
– top of neck to bottom of shirt: 2¾"

Front
– armpit to armpit: 2½"
– bottom width: 1¾"
– top of neck to bottom of shirt: 1¼"

It’s well-known that an all-cotton T-shirt will "tighten" up after washing even after many wearings and washings. My favorite T-shirt, Newton Trading (unfortunately no longer made), also tightened up after washing. I was able to stretch this shirt a bit and put it on – it was reasonably comfortable.

Like the complaint most are making regarding *any* of the current T-shirt brands, these are too thin. Out of the box, and after washing, they felt more like a woman’s blouse than a man’s undershirt.

For some reason, this shirt doesn’t seem to breathe the way a proper all-cotton T-shirt does. I think this breathing is what makes a T-shirt cool in the summer and warm in the winter. This shirt doesn’t do it.

I suppose I can get a T-shirt like Newton Trading used to make, but it’s going to cost a whole lot more than what I’m accustomed to paying for a T-shirt.

I’ll live with these until I find something better and then use these for dustrags.

I purchased, what I thought were, the same shirts several years ago. The previous ones were excellent quality. They are a bit faded but still going strong. The new ones were much lighter weight material. After washing, I wore one shirt for one day. By the end it, had developed holes in the material. Not at a seam (see picture). All-in-all these were vastly inferior to my previous shirts from this manufacturer.

I’ve been buying & wearing 2xist t-shirts for years. Long enough to realize that their design and manufacturing process changes from time to time. This most recent iteration of their "essential" t-shirt collection is a definite step backwards in quality. Very thin material, very slim "clingy" cut. And they shrink a good amount after being washed.

I bought these for my husband since he loves 2(x)ist briefs, but he doesn’t really like the shirts much. He says they are "too scratchy" not as soft as the Hanes T-shirts he has, even after multiple washings. He still wears them though, so they don’t appear to be completely uncomfortable.

Quality T-shirts, accurately described, fairly priced, well packed and promptly shipped. What more can you ask!

Decent shirts. Longer and much thinner than they used to be. Why is 2ixst going cheap? This used to be a quality T.

Shrank just a little, which made it too tight. Wish it was offered in a double XL and there also needs to be a grey color way and most definitely a v-neck. Material is perfect though.

Perfect fit, and as expected. Very soft, and feels durable…after 2 washes so far, so not bad.

I am not a picky person, but I find that if I wear anything other than 2xist undershirts I am uncomfortable by the end of the day.

The fabric is very soft & the arm holes are comfortable. I never get that "bunched up feeling" of a shirt constricting my underarms when I wear this brand.

I used to buy these at Saks online, because I couldn’t find them local. Trust me, I am not a Saks kind of guy. They’re just worth the trouble. Glad Amazon has them.

FYI – they are kind of stretchy, so if you tuck them in they don’t pull out of your pants as often as some of the other shirts I have. I like this a lot.
