I bought this scarf in the hopes of replacing a black cashmere scarf I had hand-picked at the Edinburgh Woolen Mill in Scotland when I was living there as a student abroad. I think, however, that this scarf may actually be softer than the one I had bought, and without a significant increase in price, which is something when you’re comparing wool prices with Scotland.
The scarf is very thick and very warm for cashmere, black as the night, and the weave seems solid and hasn’t frayed at all. I’m very happy with my buy. It also came in one hell of an opulent package for a scarf: a flat, record-sized blue box with calligraphic claims to excellence all over it. Very posh.

I purchased this for a gift, and was fairly happy with the item…it is very soft and luxurious. My only disappointment was in the color…I bought a navy blue scarf but it was much darker blue in person than it appeared in the picture. I had been hoping for more of a medium denim color.

Beautiful and soft, hence 2 stars. Would not recommend. Left lint all over my black jacket. Will try having it dry cleaned to see if that helps. If it doesn’t, will not be able to wear again since all that lint makes whatever you’re wearing look sloppy. Never had cashmere do that before.
