What They Say About ‘2(X)IST MEN’S PIMA CREW NECK T-SHIRT’
I got fed up with undershirts which shrink funny, or are too short and come un-tucked easily. So, I decided to try a bunch, and figure out which was best.
Without question, this is the best undershirt I now own. The next runner up is as far away as Kia is from BMW (personal opinion).
What makes this a great undershirt:
Length: It’s long enough without being “big and tall” to stay tucked in.
Feel: The cotton is very supple, stretches easily to conform to people with a larger chest size than mine. The thickness is good. It’s not super thin. It is a little thicker, but doesn’t feel hot.
Construction: After a wash/dry cycle to torture test the shirts, this one shrunk up minimally and evenly without losing shape or developing odd puckers in the stitching. The short sleeve is stitched at a an angle, more consistent with how your arm naturally hangs. Other shirts are more of a T shape, the arm-pit of these is a much smaller angle V.
If I had one complaint, it’s that the color is not pure white. It’s subtly off-white in the same way your house trim isn’t pure white, more egg-shell. It’s noticeable when next to other pure white T-shirts or button downs. One of the other brands I tried was so white it was almost blue, but that could be optical enhancers.
Unfortunately, this comes at a price. At mid $20’s for one shirt, it’s easily 2-3x the price of other shirts. If the price doesn’t bother you, this is a stellar undershirt.
I would have never thought I would ever say this about an under shirt, but its truly amazing! Stretchy enough to put on and take off. Butter soft to the touch. Longer than most under shirts, so this could be a preference for some – I’m going to have to get used to it. But I must admit, some under shirts are too short even though they come from name brands. I’ve continued buying these and won’t be looking back. It is pricey, so just get one or two at a time – you won’t regret it.
I was looking for 2(x)ist undershirts, but it seems that this is a high quality, thick, everyday white shirt. It’s too think to wear as an undershirt. It’s really like a nice t-shirt. It wasn’t what I expected, but with the great high quality that 2(x)ist product have, I’m happy to add it to my collection.
I love this shirt! Yes this is expensive as compared to a Hanes or Fruit, but the quality is soooo much better. It fits great, doesn’t shrink, feels wonderful and the neck area has not "crinkled". An added bonus is that it is long enough to fit below my belt and stay that way all day. I’ve bought four so far and will buy as needed.
As I was putting it on for the first time, my finger pushed right through the side seam. Unbelievable. I’ve never had that happen with any t-shirt before. Amazon is shipping me a replacement. We’ll see how the next one holds up.
I love these shirts, super comfortable and the sleeves don’t show under polos
These are very expensive, however, worth every penny. I’ve always bought these for my husband (and i wear them too, to bed). You’ll never feel a softer fabric than this. Just buy one and you’ll see. Very true to size.
Great tee! Springy feel. Soft. Wish they didn’t cost so much. My reward for good behavior!
Fit as expected
The shirt is incredibly comfortable. It just seems to be overpriced for expectations. Made in the USA is a plus though.
