If you want to look as the real deal for a classic look, get a diamond tip bow tie, and self-tie of course. Once you learn how to tie it, you will never go back to the clipping thing or other ways to use a bow tie, this looks way better. With this in mind, this is a very high quality tie. The silk is smooth and shines just right, not too much to look like satin, not to few to look like fake silk. I tied it and untied several times to get the perfect look (diamond tips are not easy given their natural asymmetry) and the fabric didn’t suffer a bit, it ended up looking amazing. The tie has an adjustable band with an equivalency to regular shirt-collar sizes (32, 34, etc) so you can easily know the proper length of the tie and it doesn’t hang on your neck or suffocates you once you tie it

I have started wearing bowties in the last few years and finally needed to wear a tux – the first time since I learned to tie a bowtie. So, I was looking for tie that would look good and not flop around. Based on other reviews I got this tie and I am glad I did. It stayed tied and nicely in place without going limp. It is a bit thicker in the middle than most of my other ties, but it worked well nonetheless. I thought the price was good on this tie and I’m very pleased with it.

Bought this in hopes of it matching the US Air Force mess dress uniform. MATCHES PERFECTLY.

After researching for awhile, as I will be in a tux often for events. I wanted to be as close to classic as possible,without looking better than my date! This is neck hooked measures.. and looks as rich as the tux. Next will be the textured all black for a change of looks..and to match my date if needed.Love the look and price.. more for sure!

I absolutely love this bow tie. The only negative thing I can say is that the whole neck adjustment thing was confusing. I couldn’t figure out how it worked. I had emailed the seller and they responded promptly with the information I needed- which is that there are little slots where the numbers are, so you take the t-clip, you have to go through the other clip first then hook it in one of the slots which corresponds to your neck size. Anyway, I absolutely love the neck tie, after watching a few youtube videos, I was able to tie it. Great quality, looks great, awesome price and the customer service was good. All in all good transaction. I would recommend the seller put the information about the adjustment either with the bow tie or at least on it’s page.

I bought this to wear with my USMC Mess Dress for this year’s Birthday Ball. The past couple of years, I have bought THREE of the crap pre-made ties that you get at the uniform store. Every single one of them broke and wouldn’t stay on my collar without ninja skills in the safety pin department. This one is PERFECT. Just big enough for my neck (18.5 is max adjustment, I believe it will adjust down to 14?), and the bow is slightly larger than the crap uniform store one, so it looks right, too. Buy with confidence if you want to wear this with your dress uniform that requires a bow tie!

Delivered promptly and did the trick! I ordered this at the last minute for a black tie affair, and it was everything I needed! The tie is easy to fasten and sits neatly in place under the collar. It’s silk/satiny with a bit of a sheen, just right for the occasion.

I’ve never worn a bowtie before, and yes, Doctor Who influenced me to buy one. That said, bowties are cool in their own right. I fully intend on wearing this to work, church, and elsewhere.

The color is a perfect burgundy, very consistent and beautiful. (Sure, I’m a 24-year-old guy, but I can appreciate beauty in clothing!)

I am very pleased with this bow tie. The fabric is as expected: silk, satin, and substantial.
It took me four times to tie it correctly since I had never tied a bow tie before
in my life. The bow tie is as wide (about 4.5in) when tied as stated by the seller.
The width was needed for the size of my face and neck (18in)
It took only four days to receive it by USPS. I look forward to wearing it with my tuxedo

Great looking item that sharpens your look instantly. The material is a smooth, shiny silk that complimented the lapels of my tux perfectly. There were no issues tying or removing.The bow has plenty of "bounce" and does not sag or wilt. I did see that where the ends of the material were stitched in the back there was some stray material where the fabric was cut that could have been cleaned up for a better appearance around the neck. I recommend lightly/carefully running a flame across it to cauterize so it doesn’t continue to unwind itself through wear.

You may want be interested in knowing that this type of bow tie does come with the scaled collar that allows you to adjust based on your neck measurement. Personally, I’ve decided that I prefer the type that come without the measurements, but instead use a simple sliding adjustment in the back so that it can be sized accordingly even after tying. That also helps take any guesswork out of any collar-size variances you may encounter with different shirts, but again, it’s a matter of personal preference.
